Welcome to The Connector's Edge, Alpha Release (Mostly Functional, Entirely Ugly)
The intention in this release is that all the core functions work. The interface is the minimum necessary to be navigable and useable, but not necessarily optimized.
The Main Functions
The main purpose of The Connector's Edge is to let you connect to people you'll like.
This means that you answer questions so that PINE (the Psychographic Introduction Networking Engine) can determine a match rating between you and other users. Once you have answered at least 10 questions, you can go to QuickConnect, where it will show you the highest rated match currently calculated. On QuickConnect, you can hit the green button if you want to meet them or the red button if you do not. If you both click green, you will be able to message them through the Messages tool.
Questions (Improve Matches), QuickConnect, and Messages functions have been tested and should be functional... mostly. This means that the basic core of the system should be working, so you should be able to make connections.
What to Do
First, you need to fill out your profile and accept the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all that jazz. Use the Profile & Consent button below to do that.
Then, click the Improve Matches button in the top bar, or the Answer Questions button you may find, to answer questions. The more you answer, the better.
First, you select your best answer. You may like more than one answer. Choose the one that is most like you.
Then, select the answers that you would like your ideal networking partner to answer and how important it is to you. The algorithm is such that Low is really low. Medium makes it 50x more important than Low, so if you are not sure or do not care, just pick low.
After that is if you feel the question is a good question. This is subjective. If the question makes you happy to answer it, click Good. If you do not like it for any reason, whether it is confusing, annoying, or just smells funny, click No, and Meh is for if you have no opinion one way or the other.
Once you have answered at least 10 questions, click the QuickConnect button to see your matches. In Beta, free members will have limited matches, but in Alpha, you are getting all the good stuff that premium members get, so connect away.
If there is a double match with a connection, it will show up in your Messages, where you can chat with them. Be aware, it is not a live chat like Facebook. It will not find new messages unless you click the Check for Messages button or reload the page. This is to limit the impact on our tiny Alpha server. From there, do your thing. Book a call. Make connections. Be awesome. Let me know how it goes.
If you answer all of the available questions, you can propose your own. You will probably discover there are questions you wish people would answer. So, submit them.
Um, It's Borken (Bug Reports)
At the top of every page, you'll see a button with a cute bug on it that says Bug Reports. That is for reporting anything. Anything from an error that makes the site unusable to a button placement that is just a little bit annoying. Even if you just have an idea, put it in there. It says Bug Report but really it is for any kind of feedback.

Other Features
You should also be able to search people by email, LinkedIn, or full name. That feature has not been fully tested and is known to be only partially functional.
You can invite your friends using the link you will find at the top of your Member Dashboard, right next to the QuickConnect button, or your Profile Preview. Doing so will get you credit for bringing them in. How many people you've brought to the community shows on your profile as well as the exclusive virtual medal you'll get for various levels of promotion, which will increase your prestige.
Character Comparison, the original Pre-Alpha feature, is now under the Profile tab.
Have Fun
Poke buttons. Try things. Let me know what you find.
Let me know what you'd like to see added or fixed.
We are building this together. You get to do the fun stuff, while I do the hard work.
